In its homeland, the mountains of Tibet, the Cordyceps mushroom (Cordyceps sinensis) have long been popular – not only among humans but also among animals. The yak’s shepherds noticed that the sheep that fed at the foothills of the mountains enjoyed eating the small mushrooms. The shepherds watched the animals and noticed how these sheep were distinguished by remarkable flexibility, life expectancy and fertility. From this point onwards, the path to defining Cordyceps as an extremely expensive tonic and aphrodisiac was not long. Today, a kilogram of Cordyceps, collected on the Tibetan plate, costs between $16,000 and $34,500.

The Cordyceps mushroom looks like a caterpillar in its appearance. In order to grow, it needs a host of a certain caterpillar that it infects underground. Since the caterpillar can not be artificially infected with the mushroom, thus the actual mushroom is extremely expensive, while the extract of this mushroom, exceptionally, is obtained only by its micelle. Cultivation is done without sawdust or straw, but directly in a nutrient solution. This allows the production of an absolutely pure and highly effective extract of the Cordyceps mushroom.

Application: Nutritional supplement. Source of polysaccharides. Cordyceps is rich in proteins, ballasts and minerals. This dry extract is 30 times more concentrated than the mushroom powder.
